The namesake of the mod, these include all the new wiring implements I've come up with.
Most of the devices interact with a wrench in one way or another, so having one handy always helps. It can be used to rotate some devices, and connect others.
Cables[]
Cables are a new wire alternative with many features above the original wiring system. They must be manually connected using a wrench, allowing for much tighter wiring. They also connect to the sides of devices, not directly to the device like wiring. This means devices can have up to 4 cable connections, enabling complex tiles such as logic gates. Cables come with multiple inline devices, such as interfaces, used to connect cable to wire; relays, an inline switch that can be used for simple logic; and resistors, which can be used to delay pulses, allowing much more interesting traps.

Wireless Devices[]
Ever wanted to control something from one side of the world, on the other? Or have a complex system where a single switch could trigger multiple things, without fancy wiring? Maybe make a wire work only one way? Then the Wireless Devices are for you. You can choose a frequency from 1-255, and all devices sharing that frequency can trigger each other at any distance. In order to change this frequency, simply right click on the device and a simple interface will open up.
Sensors[]
What good would devices be without some method of detecting what is around them? This is the whole idea behind the sensors. These include complex sensors for water, lava, light, etc. as well as simple ones such as tripwires. These can be used for anything from automated machines to sneaky traps.

Tripwire |
Sold by The Prodigy |
A sensor that is only visible to the owner of it. Give up or take ownership by right clicking with a wrench. |
Solarpanel |
Crafted at Mechanic's Workshop Daybloom (10) Glass (4) Iron Bar (5) Wire (4) |
Emits a pulse every second in daylight. Requires either nothing or a glass wall behind it to work. |
Lunarpanel |
Crafted at Mechanic's Workshop Moonglow (10) Glass (4) Iron Bar (5) Wire (4) |
Emits a pulse every second in moonlight. Requires either nothing or a glass wall behind it to work. |
Aqualamp |
Crafted at Mechanic's Workshop Waterleaf (20) Glass (4) Silver Bar (5) Wire (4) |
Emits a pulse every second when in contact with water. |
Lavalamp |
Crafted at Mechanic's Workshop Fireblossom (20) Glass (4) Hellstone Bar (5) Wire (4) |
Emits a pulse every second when in contact with lava. |
Doomlamp |
Crafted at Mechanic's Workshop Deathweed (20) Glass (4) Demonite Bar (5) Wire (4) |
Emits a pulse every second during blood moons and invasions. |
Automation[]
This group is specifically for all you wiring nuts out there. The ones that want to wire absolutely everything possible. From here you'll find pistons and conveyors to move things around(even you!), and other tools to help you mine without mining, or farm without farming. The possibilities are endless!

Creeping Conveyor |
Crafted at Workbench Rotten Chunk (10) Wire (10) |
Pushes items, npcs and players every other pulse; then is reset by the next pulse. Is placed facing the direction of the player. |
Piston |
Crafted at Workbench Copper Bar (10) Wire (10) |
Extends piston head with first pulse, which pushes items, npcs, players and tiles; then retracts with the next pulse. Can push a limit of 8 tiles. Can only connect to cables from the back side of the piston. |
Piston DX |
Crafted at Mechanic's Workshop Adamantite Bar (20) Wire (20) |
Extends piston head with first pulse, which pushes items, npcs, players and tiles; then retracts with the next pulse. Can push a limit of 16 tiles. Can only connect to cables from the back side of the piston. Able to push non-tiles so quickly they may rip a hole in time-space, allowing them to pass through thin walls. |
Traps[]
Need I say more? This is the group a large majority of users want. The killing machines. The devices that turn zombies into limbs. Although not the complete focus of the mod, I will definitely be adding traps every now and then to the mod, so enjoy your new toys.

Wooden Trapdoor |
Crafted at Workbench Wood (4) |
Useable both as a horizontal door and a simple trap. Can make any width trapdoor, and only one needs to be triggered to open the entire thing. |
Iron Trapdoor |
Crafted at Workbench Iron Bar (5) |
Same as the Wooden Trapdoor, but made of iron. This door is too heavy to open or close by hand, and can only be opened with a pulse from a wire. |
Miscellaneous[]
These are the oddballs. The devices that do such strange and unique things, they don't really fit anywhere else.

Blinktube |
Crafted at Mechanic's Workshop Blinkroot (10) Glass (4) Copper Bar (5) Wire (4) |
Used primarily for providing a strong light. Requires pulses to stay lit, dims over time. Connected with a wrench. Upon first being lit up, will emit a pulse to wires and cables. This allows filtering repeating pulses into a single pulse. |
